Papi Rick

You walked proudly out the door,
And simply didn’t see,
The look that I did give you,
Did you remember me?

I knew you were an island,
And I was lost at sea,
No matter how much I sought you,
You did not notice me.

But all this was illusion,
Your earthly visions done,
And your island has returned now,
To the place where it belongs.

I know you always loved me,
This was clear and yet,
It took time for you to join me,
Our hearts and souls now met.

For your island formed long ago,
It arose from out the sea,
And now we know, at last it’s clear,
The oneness of you and me.

Farewell for now, I love you,
We’ll meet again ere long,
Your broken heart is mended,
And your fleet foot drives you on.

For now your family mourns you,
Tomorrow we will rejoice,
Your passing has returned you,
At last, you’ll find your voice.

We love you now and always,
A wonder you may be,
We are all your ocean,
And you have returned to sea.

God Bless You Daddy
