Goodbye to Rose
For Rose
Through a crystal looking glass, A waterfall of dew drops glisten, The rose lies still with no repast, Amidst the silence of her prison. Fly free above the rooftops fly! And none shall miss you more than I, Your beauty, youth at last returned, Your spirits rise, your bridges burned. I envy you, your freedom gained, I pray for you, your soul unchained, No worldly goods can hold you now, Fly free wildflower, fly unrestrained. May God direct you in your path, Compassion for His child at last,Returned to share and yet reflect, On times forgotten, lost and past. For Rose Clarke
